creating FOCUS to REALIZE your VISION
Due to my experience at board level, specifically in SMEs, I have an eye for what works, what doesn't work, and most importantly, which interventions ensure that efficiency is increased!

I am Wim.
Always and everywhere, I ask myself the question: "How can this be done better?" Thanks to my years of experience at board level within SMEs, I know what works and what doesn't.
I analyse the pain points and implement strategic interventions that increase efficiency and deliver tangible results. Together, we optimise your business!
And so Styrco was born!
STYR means "to steer".
With Styrco, I help steer SMEs in the right direction (vision).
With a passion for problem solving and optimisation, I support companies to improve their processes and grow.
Bio
My passion for making improvements runs like a thread through my career.
Graduated as an Industrial Construction Engineer (MSc), I joined a construction chemicals manufacturing company.
In this world of restoration architects, contractors and technical services, I was challenged daily to work out the most efficient procedure for these clients for their specific restoration projects. Training of project managers and continuous follow-up until completion were also part of this.
My range of tasks expanded when I was appointed as management consultant, and became responsible for leading a technical sales team and directing marketing, export and administration, all divisions that continued to expand.
Within this role, I was also very closely involved in a merger. Given that I knew both firms, I was in the ideal position to manage the merger and ensure that all the cogs fit together. During this process, I realised even more the importance of a good corporate culture. The right people in the right place: vital!
Because the human aspect fascinated me so much, during that period I also took the course (via Open University) in Psychology (MSc).
In 2012, I got the opportunity to work as an assistant to the CEO of a paint and building materials manufacturer. I considered myself lucky to experience all the ins and outs of a growing SME under his wings. I was thoroughly introduced to everything you have to deal with as a manager, both the great victories and the heavy setbacks.
In the last 3 years (2021-2024), we stepped into a programme where, together with a external consultant, took the company to the next level. The methodology (EOS) was right up my street, so I was one of the driving forces for the day-to-day implementation of this system.
